UCARSOL LL Specialty Solvents were introduced at the recent Society of Petroleum Engineers Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition — as specifically designed for treating natural gas liquids.

As proprietary, ready-to-use blends, they are formulated to help increase ethane recovery rates from valuable NGL-rich gas streams.

They offer distinct CO₂ removal capabilities over standard gas processing methods. These include, for new designs — reduced capital expenditures plus increased energy savings. For existing units (retrofit) UCARSOL LL offers higher ethane recovery rates, meets CO₂ specification, and improves energy efficiency, it’s noted.

The specialty solvents are declared to help gas processors treat NGLs more efficiently — both in conventional processing schemes — as well as in liquid-liquid treaters used after cryogenic separation.
