A partnership is announced to combine two remote monitoring systems to measure data and report on alarm conditions for oil and gas assets.
American Innovations’ Bullhorn Remote Monitoring System and Coastal Flow Measurement’s BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval System will “utilize the latest generation of communications equipment and technologies to collect data and monitor field operations.”
By coupling Bullhorn and BirdDog systems, this firm will offer robust alarming capabilities in addition to data collection.
Bullhorn securely sends alarms via satellite or digital cellular networks when equipment reaches such pre-programmed parameters high or low tank level.
BirdDog users view their data and alarms in customized web page layouts. Advanced security features permit data to be selectively viewed and shared.
By using the remote monitoring systems — you obtain measurement data and address critical issues efficiently — without the cost of building and complication of maintaining a complex SCADA system, its declared.
In the combined announcement, both companies “recognize it is imperative for oil and gas companies to get data and information on critical events reliably and quickly in order to protect their assets, employees, and the environment.”
