Developed in conjunction with Statoil, the new designs offer smart personal hearing protection, verifiable personal noise exposure monitoring, fully adaptive situational awareness, plus extremely clear in-ear communication throughout a full range of noise environments.
Microphones inside each eartip comprise patented in-ear dosimetry to measure every sound reaching a user’s ear. It also supplies continuous personal noise exposure monitoring. Audible and visual signals alert when users are approaching or have met their daily noise dose. Patented automatic fit check at startup performs a quick calibration check to detect proper fit and validate adequate hearing protection plus clear communications in each ear.
QUIETPRO QP100Ex is intrinsically safe for use in potentially explosive oil and gas environments.
