Durabook R13C 13.3-in. convertible computers are newly announced as IP65 grade and rugged with Military Standard 810G certification.

These drop, shock, and spill-protected computers also meet explosive atmosphere, salt, fog, and freeze/thaw standards for any outdoor environment. As an upgrade of the R13S, its IP65 rating ensures enclosed portions of the unit are completely protected against any contact from dust and water. Its magnesium alloy case is declared 20-times stronger than ABS plastic.

Durabook R13C comes with an Intel Core Low Power i7-620LM vPro Processor, up to 8GB of system memory, 2.5-in. shock-mounted SATA hard drive with heater that has a quick-removal feature, plus ultra-slim super-multi DVD drive. I/O ports include a built RS-232 serial port with RS-422/485 optional, low-voltage express card slot with PC card slot option, two USB ports, SIM card connector, and SD card reader.
