Ultra-high-intensity UV-A lamps are new for NDT inspections

01/26/2012

Spectroline TRITAN 365 ultra-high-intensity inspection lamps are newly introduced for NDT applications.

The broad-beam models feature three ultra-hi-flux UV-A LEDs plus a white light LED to illuminate dark areas. TRITAN 365 produces a nominal steady-state 365-nm intensity of 9,000-μW/cm2 at a distance of 15 in. / 38 cm. It meets MIL and ASTM intensity specifications for FPI and MPI.

This compact 16-oz / 454-g lamp comprises convenient three-way rocker switch. This allows easy light sources control.

A light weight, angled lamp body ensures fatigue-free inspections, declares the maker: Just a push of a button turns the lamp on instantly at full power. A rubber bumper with Borofloat glass lens protects the LEDs from damage in high-risk situations. A built-in fan also keeps the LEDs cool for optimum light output during length use.
