New enzyme removes drilling filter cake

VEREFLOW alpha-amylase enzyme is newly developed to remove filter cake encountered in drilling operations.

It’s formulated to effectively remove the cake that acts as a barrier to hydrocarbon flow on the face of the wellbore. It breaks down filter cake created by water-based mud containing starch and other polymers used in drilling. Compared to traditional chemicals used for this process, VEREFLOW is said to be safe for both operators and the environment, plus effective over a wide temperature and pH range.
