VC10 Valve Controllers are new battery-powered, wireless field devices. They control pneumatic valves in hazardous locations with functionality for optimized natural gas wellhead automation, it’s announced.
Using a patent pending technology called Progressive Pulse Control (PPC), VC10 operates pneumatic valves in a wide range of upstream oil and gas applications.
Coupled with Accutech power management technology, the controllers autonomously operate in the field for over 50,000 cycles. This is said to equate to “years of maintenance free operation.”
Together with other Accutech field devices, this controller lets you deploy entirely wireless battery-powered wellhead automation systems — without wiring, trenching, and maintenance expenses, it’s declared.
Included with VC10 are two digital inputs. The first is configured as a counter for use in plunger arrival systems; the second for use with any discrete signal. An integrated pressure sensor is incorporated as a feedback mechanism in the PPC circuit. It is a useful diagnostic for wellhead operators. Additional VC10 data are free.
