DIAB Sandwich Noise Enclosures lessen the noise source or the noise receivers like operators and assembly people.
Sandwich and insulated steel construction quiets pumps, machinery, or other equipment — plus reduces weight from 9.3 to about 4.5 tonnes. Total weight loss is said to be more than 18 tonnes for four enclosures.
Tests of insulation through the structure indicate a noise reduction from 114 dB inside to far below 70 dB outside.
Among DIAB Sandwich composite structural, environmental, and fire requirement properties are light weight but strength with increased stiffness. With these enclosures there is freedom to adapt both form and function to specific applications.
The manufacturer emphasizes enclosure “excellent strength-to-weight ratio, giving higher speed, longer range, greater payload capacity, and reduced power demand.” Construction is also designed to withstand an explosive wave at 0,6 Bar.
