Metallic and plastic mesh and plate coalescers speed the separation of two immiscible fluids in petroleum, wastewater, and pollution control-related operations.
Hydrophobic and hydrophilic materials improve a wide range of process applications where the coalescers may be used solely or in combination. There they efficiently separate a wide range of mechanically induced emulsions.
This manufacturer claims certain coalescer constructions achieve separation efficiencies down to 5 ppm of hydrocarbons in water. By retrofitting gravity separators with the units -- time to reduce haze from a product is said to be significantly reduced.
