Miniature piston pump made for stripper wells
MK Pump Rhino Mini-Jack Piston Pumps give stripper well operators a stationary way to reduce costs in oil recovery without overpumping a formation.
The miniaturized systems recover oil at rates as high as 15 b/d at depths to 1,500 ft. As an alternative to oversized pumps in small-yielding wells, Rhino Mini-Jack is a single package. It costs $8,000 to $12,000 compared to $15,000 to $30,000 for larger designs traditionally employed.
These pump jacks sit right on top of the wellhead so there are no requirements for platform alignment. They use a continuous 3/8-in.-diameter fiberglass rod (no connectors) and linear actuating top-head drive motor rather than a counterbalanced pump jack.
