Communications system adds Tetra technology as alternative

Tetra communications technology is now integrated into SwitchplusIP communications systems.

Tetra is declared a viable alternative to P25 and DMR. Due to the number of entities that provide subscriber equipment, it can lead to lower-cost solutions.

SwitchplusIP VoIP system provides seamless interoperable communications to users of various analog and digital communications devices. These include a Tetra digital radio system from DAMM, conventional analog radios, mobile phones, intercoms, and other telephony. The system also provides unit ID, status, messaging, and position information gained from Tetra radio handsets. This provides geographical assets location in the field on the operator consoles.
