New PDC bit solves cuttings clogging, reduced cutter performance

More Upstream Products

Patent-pending SplitBlade PDC bits are introduced to improve cuttings evacuation as much as 200% faster than conventional designs.

The new bit’s ability to rapidly and efficiently evacuate cuttings is based on a combination of design and hydraulic performance. Its rotated blade shoulder design is such that primary blades separate past the cone to free more area for the junk slot and prevent cuttings recirculation.

High-velocity, focused nozzles increase maximum hydraulic dispersal rate while advanced bit hydraulics improve bit tool face cleaning. Hydraulic flow sweeps the junk slot for reliable cuttings evacuation.
